Wingates Junior Band

To help the band to achieve its objectives, Wingates Band has formed a junior band. These things take time to get off the ground but the band is fortunate to have people with drive, determination - and who are great with kids. Instruments have been purchased, keen pupils have been recruited and we now look forward to the next step in this exciting new chapter in the history of Wingates Band.

If you want to know more about the junior band and would like to become involved in the running of the band - or more importantly you're the right side of 14 years old and would like the distinction of become a member then get in touch. We are particularly keen to start lower brass players and have instruments ready for that special person!

Musical Director

The Musical Director for the Junior Band is our senior band member Gary Curtin. Gary is an excellent euphonium player, who has a PGDip in Performance from the RNCM. Gary has an MA Degree (Honours) and a BMus Degree (Honours) from Cork, Ireland and has taught at the Cork School of Music. He is keen to develop the playing standard of the band and also to recruit new members so give him a call on 07743 394533. Gary is also available for private tuition.
